Original Morpheus

Morpheus was developed by Gregory Crane and contributors for the Perseus Digital Library, Tufts University. This edition adapts the PerseusDL source snapshot b1b33c5. Original source and morphology data retain their notices and the repository’s default Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 United States license.

The complete changes are offered to Perseus and all recipients through the public source repository and downloadable source archive. Preserve attribution, change notices and the applicable ShareAlike terms when redistributing adaptations. This independent project does not claim Tufts or Perseus endorsement.

Runtime and fonts

Emscripten’s runtime has its own MIT/UIUC and component terms; musl’s sorting implementation retains its MIT notice. See Emscripten notices and musl notices. Their terms are not replaced by the application’s license.

The interface uses the Classical Cat shared design resources. Gentium Plus, New Athena Unicode, Inter and Cinzel, together with retained resource fonts, keep their respective SIL Open Font License notices in the source and static package. Fonts are served locally and are not relicensed under BY-SA.

No modern full dictionary edition or supplied scholarly PDF is distributed with this release. One unused historical OSF/1 generated parser is excluded from the source package and recorded in its source lock.
